For over 20 years, skateboarding played a big roll in my life. I knew that the photography bug caught me around the same time. As my passion for skateboarding grew, so did my joy for photography. I realized early when nearly everytime I was out skateboarding with my friends, I always had my camera gear with me. There came a time when I would rather document skateboarding than actually participate. Getting my first photo published in a magazine was a huge incentive to continue shooting. It also pushed me to attend college and study photography. That's when I found my calling.

Because of skateboarding I not only learned about how to focus, but it has also helped me grow my photojournalistic style of shooting I use today and also has helped in creating alot of positivity in my life. Many great memories documented since 1988, (and alot of bruises as well).
